Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Darlene Love Will Join Dance Moms' Nia Sioux in Trip of Love Off-Broadway

It’s getting very starry over at off-Broadway’s Trip of Love. Fittingly, Darlene Love is joining the company on July 28; the cast of the 1960's pop music spectacular at Stage 42 also currently includes Dance Moms' Nia Sioux.

"What a fun show! When I saw the show, the audience was waving their arms and singing along. They had a grand time," said Love, in a statement. "I remember all those classic songs. The lyrics are meaningful and help tell the story. I did sing on a number of them. They are not from records that I made, but I am really looking forward to putting my own signature on “Moon River,” “Both Sides Now” and so many others."

Over a fifty-plus year career, Darlene Love has collaborated with legends like Frank Sinatra, Marvin Gaye and Elvis Presley (to name a few). She performed her number one holiday classic "Baby Please Come Home" on David Letterman's Christmas special annually for 29 years. Films include the Oscar-winning Twenty Feet from Stardom and the Lethal Weapon series, Broadway credits include Hairspray, Grease, Carrie and Leader of the Pack. She is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and is one of Rolling Stone's greatest singers in history. Her most recent album, Introducing Darlene Love, was released in 2015.

Trip of Love brings the ‘60’s to life with over 25 of the decade's biggest hits including “Blowin’ In The Wind,” “Born To Be Wild,” “California Dreamin’,” “I Saw Her Standing There,” “White Rabbit,” “You Don’t Own Me” and many more.

Created, directed and choreographed by James Walski, the cast also includes Joey Calveri, David Elder, Kelly Felthous, Bahiyah Hibah, Austin Miller and Tara Palsha Moats.
